Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping & Delivery
Is shipping really free?
Yes. Every sauna and cold plunge in our catalog ships free to the continental United States and Canada. Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico is available at an additional flat rate — contact us before ordering. There are no hidden freight charges at checkout.
How long does delivery take?
Lead times vary by product:
- Infrared saunas & cold plunges: 15–30 business days after order confirmation
- Outdoor saunas, barrel saunas & traditional saunas: 15–60 business days
You'll receive tracking information once your order ships. Before delivery, our team will contact you to confirm site access, delivery address, and coordinate a delivery window.
What does curbside delivery mean?
Your sauna arrives on a freight pallet, dropped at the curb or driveway by the carrier. It does not include carry-in or placement inside your home. If you'd like professional placement and assembly, we offer installation services arranged through the manufacturer's certified install network — contact us when you order.
What if my sauna arrives damaged?
Inspect your delivery carefully before signing the freight bill. If you notice damage, note it on the delivery receipt and photograph everything immediately. Contact us within 24 hours of delivery at aurasaunasco@gmail.com — we work directly with the manufacturer to resolve damage claims as quickly as possible. Do not refuse delivery without contacting us first.
Assembly & Installation
How difficult is assembly?
It depends on the sauna type:
- Infrared saunas (indoor): Panel-based assembly. Most customers complete setup in 2–4 hours with two people and basic tools. No construction knowledge needed.
- Outdoor, barrel & traditional saunas: More involved — foundation prep, electrical connection, and physical assembly required. We strongly recommend professional installation for outdoor units.
Do I need an electrician?
For infrared saunas: most 1–3 person units plug into a standard 120V / 15–20A household outlet (dedicated circuit recommended). Larger infrared units and all outdoor/traditional saunas require a 240V / 30–40A dedicated circuit installed by a licensed electrician. Specific electrical requirements are listed on each product page.
Can I install the sauna myself?
Infrared saunas: yes, most homeowners handle this without a contractor. Outdoor and traditional saunas: we recommend professional installation to protect your warranty and ensure safety. Professional installation is available as an add-on — ask us when you order.
Warranty & Returns
What does the warranty cover?
All saunas and cold plunges in our catalog are backed by a comprehensive 5-year manufacturer warranty on electronics and craftsmanship. Stove/heater components on traditional saunas typically carry a 1-year warranty. Warranty coverage excludes normal wear and tear, improper installation, misuse, and damage caused by external factors. Full warranty terms are available on request.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Contact us at aurasaunasco@gmail.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if applicable. As an authorized dealer, we coordinate directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
What is your return policy?
Saunas are large freight items — returns require manufacturer authorization and may involve restocking and re-shipping fees. We encourage you to contact us before ordering if you have any concerns about fit, size, or compatibility. Our team is here to help you make the right decision the first time. For full return policy details, see our Refund Policy.
Choosing the Right Sauna
Infrared vs traditional — what's the difference?
The short version: infrared heats your body directly with radiant energy at lower ambient temperatures (118–140°F); traditional saunas heat the air to higher temperatures (170–195°F) and allow steam. Infrared is easier to install, more energy-efficient, and gentler for daily use. Traditional delivers the classic Finnish experience with intense, enveloping heat. Read our full guide: Infrared vs Traditional Sauna.
What size sauna do I need?
A rough guide:
- 1–2 person: Tight on space or solo sessions — fits in a bedroom or bathroom corner
- 2–3 person: Most popular for couples or a generous solo experience
- 4+ person: Family use or when you want room to stretch out fully
- Outdoor cabins: When size isn't the constraint — designed as a backyard centrepiece
Still not sure? Email us — we'll help you choose based on your actual space dimensions and use case.
Is infrared safe to use every day?
Yes. Infrared sauna sessions of 15–45 minutes at moderate temperatures are considered safe for daily use by healthy adults. Most people find a 3–5x per week routine ideal for recovery and stress relief. If you have any medical conditions, consult your physician before starting a regular sauna practice.
